Communications Manager
As a Communications Manager, you will be responsible for external communications and event promotions for our organization, which includes our acclaimed Soundwave festival. This position involves independent work with writing, phone calls and emails.

This includes:
• Writing and Editing Press Releases and Promotional Copy
• Managing and maintaining our websites, email marketing and social networks
• Researching and recommending promotional platforms (print/media/online)
• Posting event listings online/in print
• Managing event promotional material needs and distributions
• Develop and Coordinate interviews/features for artists and staff
• Creating, Writing and organizing electronic/physical press kits
• Researching and developing relationships with journalists and media outlets
• Managing Media lists
• Managing artists promotional requirements
• Help develop marketing plans/programs for exposure of our non-profit and work
• Secondary spokesperson for organization and our programs

Time Commitment
Monthly commitment 20-30 hours/month
Available for weekly planning/status meetings
Work is done independently reporting to the Production Director and Executive Director.

Requirements:
• Passionate about the arts and music
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Computer skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Work with WordPress and Email Marketing programs a plus
• A go-getter with a proactive attitude
• Ability to work collaboratively & independently
• Willingness to commit 20-30 hours/month
• PR/Festival/event marketing experience a plus
• Requires occasional work during M-F 9-5p to coordinate with companies

Compensation
This position is on a volunteer basis with a small year–end honorarium (dependent on annual funds raised). We are a growing organization with a long-term commitment to eventually raising enough funds to support our operations, including staff stipends.

Development Manager
As a Development Manager, you will be responsible for fundraising, sponsorship and development activities for our organization and programming, which includes our acclaimed Soundwave festival. This position involves independent work with writing, phone calls and emails.

This includes:
• Researching and contacting potential grant opportunities
• Managing Fundraising Schedules
• Writing and Coordinating Funding applications
• Writing and assembling grant application drafts, materials, reports
• Researching and contacting potential sponsorship opportunities
• Managing and coordinating fundraising events
• Communicating with current and potential individual donors, sponsors and grant foundations
• Writing and sending tax-deduction letters to donors
• Creating and assembling sponsorship packages

Time Commitment
Monthly commitment 20-30 hours/month

Documentation Manager
As a Documentation Manager, you will be responsible for the visual recordings and its production from all our public events and exhibitions, which includes our acclaimed Soundwave festival. It will include managing volunteer photographers, editors and videographers, managing video, photo materials and equipment, and distributing/archiving the work. This position involves independent work with writing, phone calls and emails.

This includes:
• Finding and assembling teams to document shows and exhibitions
• Photographing, videographing and video editing footage from our productions
• Managing documentation equipment supplies
• Developing photo/video direction with artists and Artistic Director
• Posting, distributing, promoting photo galleries and video pieces to our website, Facebook, YouTube and other distribution channels
• Managing, producing and distributing video productions for grants, sponsors
• Managing photographers, videographers, video editors, interns
• Managing and organizing a master archive

Time Commitment
Monthly commitment 16-20 hours/month
Available for twice monthly planning/status meetings
Work is done independently reporting to the Production Director and Executive Director.

• Photography and digital video skills, knowledge and interests
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Computer skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Experience with Video and Photo-editing programs such as Final Cut, Photoshop knowledge preferred

Development and Communication Internships
Interns will have the opportunity to learn how a small growing non-profit art group operates, and support the staff with various tasks related to fundraising, sponsorship and development, and marketing, communications and promotions.

Development Activities
• Researching potential grant and sponsorship opportunities
• Assist in creating and assembling grant application drafts, materials, reports
• Assist in managing and coordinating fundraising events
• Assist in creating and assembling sponsorship packages

Communication Activities
• Researching and maintaining on/offline press contacts
• Assist in social media engagements
• Updating Word-press based websites
• Distributing flyers
• Assist in creating promotion packages for press
• Posting event information to online/print calendars

Time Commitment
Six-Month Internship.
Monthly commitment 20-30 hours/month
Available for weekly planning/status meetings
Work is done independently reporting to the Development Manager, Communication Manager and/or Executive Director.

Production and Documentation Volunteers
Volunteers are need to staff our public events and productions.
.
Production Volunteer Activities
• Help set-up, take-down and clean-up during events
• Help artists with exhibition productions (painting, setups, installations, de-installations)
• Assist during public events in merchandise, food/drink, ushers, safety, answering questions from audience members
• Help distribute flyers and posters and promote events online and on the streets
• Assist staff in archiving, organizing, data entry, etc.

Documentation Volunteer Activities
• Photographing or Videographing events and exhibitions (personal equipment needed)
• Download photos/videos to Documentation Manager within a couple days from shoot
• Work with Documentation Manager on photo/video direction
• Preping for gallery postings and video production and distribution
.
Time Commitment
On event-to-event basis
Work is done reporting to the Event Manager or Documentation Manager.
