Dear Friends,

I want to take a moment and write a note to all artists, creatives, and non-creatives alike. A week ago, a terribly misguided leader was re-elected and renewed ongoing tension and fractures in communities. I would like to call on everyone to renew their commitment to push forward with progressive ideas and works that challenge and inspire. I created ME'D1.ATE with the notion of supporting diverse, innovative and progressive works and voicing these ideas to new and varied audiences. My hope was to create dialogues and activities that looked to a vision of a future that nurtures cooperation, innovation, diversity and understanding – not suspicion, ignorance and intolerance. Let's all continue to write, paint, perform, film, think, sculpt, design, photograph, speak, make, act with renewed excitement and diligence, and show that ideas can not be suppressed, works can not be censored, and voices can not be silenced. Let's ignite a person to think and a world to conjure possibilities beyond imagination. We need your creativity more than ever.
